This lovely home for rental in Sainte Agnès, in the South of France, has the charming name of 'Le Petit Nid' (The Little Nest). The house is at least 500 years old and is built on four levels with a landing and windows on each floor looking out onto the mountains and sea. The double bedroom is on the top floor to make the most of the views. The lounge is on the middle floor and there are seven steps down to the bathroom and kitchen.
The pedestrianised village is grade I listed and one of the prettiest in France. This area which boasts 60% of all the flaura and fauna in France can be observed through the many wonderful designated pathways through the alpes maritimes. It is paradise for those who enjoy nature at its best. It is a very healthy and relaxed place and very close to Menton with all its beaches, cafes, restaurants and shops.
There is also a local railway station and a regular bus service to Monaco, Beausoleil, Nice Antibes etc. Trains from Menton also go to Italy for the weekly market in Ventimiglia and also the medieval town of Bordighera with its gigantic rubber trees is a must! Genoa is just over two hours away. |
